What color hair does joe solomon have and how old are he and Cammie's mother?

It says on the wiki page he has blonde hair, but I don't remember it saying that. Does anyone know what book and pg it describes his hair? Also, are they in their 40's o 30's? I always thought either late 30s o early 40's, but everyone always picks really young actors to play them.
