“Knock, knock” detto a voice from the other side of my door.
“Coming” I said. I opened the door to find Wally in uniform. My smile faded.
“Mission?” I asked
“Yeah. Sorry, Night. The data will have to wait” he apologized
“It’s all right. Tell Batman I’ll be there in a minute, I just have to change.” I told him
“Okay” KF agreed. Once he had left, I changed back into my uniform. I slipped on my new boots, then headed out the door. I ran down the hall to the mission room. I was the last person there.
“Good, you’re all here. The Joker has escaped Arkham Asylum and has set up a bomb and activated it in the most central building, the police head quarters. He says if anyone from the justice league comes, he will blow the bomb immediately” Batman informed
“Okay, then why don’t we just send in regular cops to take down Joker and deactivate the bomb?” KF asked
“Because he put all the cops on sleeping gas and is keeping them in the HQ with him” Batman replied “That’s where te guys come in. While the rest of the team distracts him and captures him, one of te will deactivate the bomb” Batman continued
“I will” I detto before anyone else could volenteer.
“Okay, Night. Do te know how to deactivate a bomb?” The Dark Night asked
“Yes. I was taught that at my dojo. Usually, we would use it if one of our bombs started when it wasn’t the right time to use it, but since I never carry real bombs, I only used my skill to deactivate bombs I didn’t want to go off” I said
“Okay. While the rest of te take down Joker, Night will deactivate the bomb. But before te even start to fight, sposta the police to a sicuro, cassetta di sicurezza location in case Night doesn’t have enough time to deactivate the bomb” Batman finished “Dismissed”
We all ran towards the bio ship. I was the first one to my seat. Sadly, that meant people would have a chance to try to get me out of my job of disarming the bomb. And da ‘people’ I mean Wally. Surprisingly, he didn’t come up to me. We started towards Gotham. I sat in my sede, sedile silently while everyone else made up plans. I knew what I had to do. It was simple. Find the bomb, disarm it before it blows. Simple.
“Almost there” Megan said
“Okay, team. Stealth gear on” Kalder instructed. He pressed the insignia on his cintura and the red part of his camicia turned black. Wally pressed the lightning bolt on his chest and his whole uniform turned black. I turned and saw Megan’s clothes changing from a white superiore, in alto and gonna to a full black body suit with a hooded cape. Robin, Super Boy and I stayed the same.
“Let’s do this” I said
