I was watching TV when Wally walked up to me. That evil smile on his face meant news. Weather it was good o bad, I could not tell.
“Hey Rob, guess what?” he smiled
“You finally got a date?” I detto sarcastically
“No. I mean- uh- yes- uh- te SUCK!” He stuttered
“Yeah, popsicles and suckers” I smirked
“Anyways, the news I wanted to tell te is that we’re getting a new team member! The best part is that she’s a girl my age!” he exclaimed
“Woo Hoo” I rolled my eyes, uninterested
“Team, please segnala to the mission room immediately” Batman’s voice detto over the P A system. I walked out with Wally. Well, I walked, Wally ran ahead. When I got there everybody was waiting for me. Everyone was mostly focased on Shayera. I walked over to Wally, confused.
“Hey, why is Shayera here?” I asked
“Shhhh” Wally shushed me.
“Your new teammate’s name is-“ Batman was interrupted da a voice from behind Shayera.
“I can introduce myself” it said. A girl walked out from behind Shayera. She had a mask covering her eyes, short red hair and was wearing a school uniform. The most noticeable feature, though were her wings and her mace. She was like a younger version of Shayera. “My name is…” she whispered something into Shayera’s ear and Shayera nodded “My name is Hawk Girl” She introduced herself. She bowed so deeply, I thought she would fall over. She walked over and detto hello to each of us. She only smiled at Artemis and Megan.
“So, can te use that mace?” Wally asked
“Yeah” she answered simply
“Would te like to mostra us?” Wally persisted
“No” she answered again
“Why not?” he kept going
“I was informed te only fight on missions and in training” she nodded and started walking away. She walked back, blushing.
“Which way is your lounge?” she asked sheepishly
“I’ll mostra you!” Wally immediately volunteered. I saw the look of panic on her face and I decided to help out.
“Down the hall, first room to your left” I instructed. She bowed, but I could see the relief on her face at not having to be alone with Wally.
“Dude! What was that for?!” he demanded
“Just trying to be friendly” he smirked
“Yeah, and I was trying to pick up a girl!” he exclaimed
“I suggest te don’t hit on Hawk Girl” Shayera said, coming up behind Wally. His whole face turned red as he turned to face the mentor of the girl he was falling for.
