I gasped as Robin fell to the floor, fifty feet away. I colomba after him, determinded not to let him hit the ground. I reached my hand out and grabbed his arm, careful not to yank it to hard. I slowed his speed, and then lightly placed him on the ground. He opened one eye and finally realized he didn’t splat. He quickly got up and dusted himself off. I started to walk away.
“Alex?” he called. I turned but didn’t answer.
“I’m sorry, ok?” he smiled. I kept my face expressionless, nodded and went back to the lounge. I closed my eyes and looked at the doors to my mind. They were shining bronze. And clean. My anger must have been tainting them. I heard foot steps coming towards me. I grabbed my mace and swung in that direction, opening my eyes. I abruptly stopped when I saw who was behind me. It was someone I’ve always looked up to, someone I’ve always wanted to meet, someone Shayera detto would have a different answer to the domanda I asked him when we first met. It was Wonder Woman.
“I am so sorry Wonder Woman” I apologized
“It was my fault for sneaking up on you.” She smiled “And please, call me Diana”
“So, Diana, what are doing here?” I asked
“Just taking a stroll. Hey, would te happen to know where Batman might be?” She asked casually
“No, sorry. But I might know someone who has” I smiled “Robin? te there?” I detto in to my comm. unit.
“Yeah, what is it?” Robin said
“I need to know where Batman is” I responded
“In Gotham. Why?” Robin replied
“Wonder Woman wants to see him” I said, growing impatient.
“Okay, tell her he’s at work. She’ll know what that means” Robin replied
“He’s at work” I told Diana. She nodded and walked away. I walked into the lounge and everybody looked at me. I got an idea.
“Who wants to watch a movie?” I asked. They all smiled.
“Any ideas on what we should watch?” I asked
“Comedy!” Wally suggested
“Action!” Artemis detto
“Sci-fi” Conner recommended
“Romance!” Megan suggested
“Okay. We’ll need popcorn, candy, pillows in case we get tired o want to have a cuscino fight and a movie” I instructed
“I’ll get the caramelle and popcorn” Megan volunteered
“I’ll get the movie and the pillows then” I detto “We’ll meet back here in ten minutes”
