Before I could say anything else a door was slammed and a male voice boomed throughout the building, “HARLEY!” Harley jumped up. A tall and skinny man wearing a suit with green hair and white makeup walked in. “Shmooogleypoo!” Harley squeeled with excitement, and ran up to hug him. He pushed her away. His face was filled with rage, then softened up into a smile when he noticed I was there watching. “And who is this?” He asked me. I took a step back, “I’m sorry, Mr. Shmooogleypoo? But my mom told me never to talk to people with green hair… But then again, my friend Tess has green hair. Hmm.” I started to consider the Tess fact. He laughed. It was più of a creepy murderous laugh than a happy cheerful one. “I found her out on the dock! Can we keep her?” Harley squealed. She ran over to me and hugged/squeezed me tightly. “Ok, Harley. I’m feeling the love. te can let go of me now!” I gasped out. When she realized what I had said, she had immediately let go of me. I took a deep breath. Joker looked at me knowingly, then sighed. “Fine, but te have to walk it, feed it, and clean up after it!” He ordered Harley. I rolled my eyes. “So, what’s your name? o is it actually Shmooogleypoo?” I asked him. He thought for a moment, then motioned for Harley to go over to him. He whispered something into her ear, and then she nodded and giggled. There was a long and awkward silence, during which they were staring at me and smiling, and I was Leggere the green haired guy.
For the first time ever, I got nothing. It was just… static. All of a sudden, just inside my head, it was a scream. It sounded loud and in pain. Pictures flashed around, it was him, and Cheshire, and Harley, and other faces. They were laughing, smiling. As though they were enjoying the pain. I grabbed my head and felt dizzy. I swayed for a bit, then when I couldn’t take it, I fell. The noise subsided, and the faces slowly started to fade away, except for the one guy. Which slowly turned into reality. “How- How come I can’t read your mind?” I asked weakly. It was a strange thing for me, I never ever had a headache with my powers. It had only happened on very rare occasions, and when they did happen, I usually ended up in the ER for several weeks. He man grinned, “Maybe because I already Lost it.” He let out a cackling laugh. “What is your name?” I demanded. “You can call me… Joker.” He laughed again. I got up shakily. “You mean- The- Gas- Joker- Bomb- Thing?” I stuttered out in a mess of words. He let up his arms dramatically, in one had was a small pocketknife. “That’s me baby!” He shouted. And as if on cue, Cheshire and several other people, all from what I had seen before in my head, jumped down from the rafters. “Oh. Crap.” I detto slowly.
“Hello again!” Cheshire said. “Jade, one question. Why do te not even care about your sister? Why do te want to kill Artemis?” I snapped at her out of instinct. She tensed up, seeming like she was ready to jump and kill me at any second. A man with a hockey mask held her back, “That’s enough from you, little girl!” That voice. I took a step back. “And your own daughter!” I shouted at him and shook my head in disbelief. “Now I see why Art hates her family so much!” I shouted. They both tensed even more. I could see they were both fighting the urge to come and bite my head off. I smirked a little.
“Com’on!” A lady with red hair and a green sort of suit moved her hands in a wide matter and a giant vine shot out of the concrete and came straight for me, I just barely dogged it. Joker ran for me, coltello in hand, “Lets have some fun!” He detto giddily. I kicked the blade out of his hand and looked at him with my hands on my hips, “What’cha going to do now?” I taunted. He just shrugged and pointed at something behind me, “Wait for that!” He detto with a much calmer tone. The vine swung toward me, and it was so close that I had no time to dodge it. I hit me straight in the stomach and carried me back into the wall. Harley was Canto and cheering in the background like a cheerleader. She even had pompoms, heaven knows where she go them.
The impact wasn’t that bad when I went into the wall, its just that my arms and torso were stuck behind the vine and I couldn’t reach any gear. They all walked over to me. “I’m sensing te guys want something, and I have it.” I detto sarcastically. “Exactamundo!” Joker detto happily, now. I laughed a little, “No, no, no! 1,000 times no!” I shook my head in the air dramatically. “Ok, she’s resisting. Can we gas her now?” The lady with red hair said. “Not yet, Ivy. I know how to get her to talk.” Cheshire detto eerily.
