Microphone "popper stopper" named da HL

I remember seeing a program talking about HL and they detto he came up with the name for the fluffy microphone cover to stop hard P sounds and the like.
Does anyone remember what he called them? The mostra detto his name for it became an industry standard. But I cant find it. And its driving me crazy!
