Eventually the sun went down, but Skipper and Private were still asleep. It wasn't long after that when Skipper woke.
S: "Private?"
Private suddenly awoke and yawned.
S: "Private, te need to go."
P: "Why? te won't hurt me."
S: "I think te should stay away from me ... just until Kowalski comes up with a cure."
P: "Skipper, I can't .."
S: "We don't have a choice."
P: "Yes, we do."
S: "What do te mean?"
P: "Skipper, bite me."
S: "No, Private. te need to go. It's clear I've done enough da putting those thoughts in your head."
P: "But te didn't!"
S: "Then who did?"
P: "I had a dream it happened."
Skipper stopped.
S: "What do te mean te had a dream about it?"
P: "You bit me on my neck."
Skipper without hesitation checked both sides of Private's neck. There was no bite mark.
P: "Please, Skipper!
S: "I didn't save from that lupo that night for te to die da the same fate a few days later. Do te know how much pain I suffered while being torn up da that wolf. He ripped open my gut and finally my throat. I prayed a cuore attack would take me before he did."
P: "Oh, dear,"
S: "I'm not going to put te through that. Also there's the chance once I bit te a would loose control and ... if that did happen te won't come back as a lycan. To put te in that risk to be with te forever would be despicable. That's one chance I'm not taking."
P: "Okay, b-but I'm not moving until te are okay with changing me."
S: "Alright, turns out, te don't have to."
P: "What?"
With that Skipper scooped Private up into his mouth.
P: "No, Skipper! Put me down now! I don't want to leave!"
S: "Private, I'm sorry."
P: "Why are te sorry? te saved my life, with no regard for your own safety. Skipper, you're my hero. No condition can change that o get between us. Even if Kowalski doesn't find a cure you'll always be a part of me. You're in my heart."
Skipper murmered.
S: "I Amore you, son."
P: "What?"
S: "Nevermind,"
P: "Well, I Amore you, dad."
Skipper gently laid Private on his back.
P: "I never noticed how soft your pelliccia is."
S: "That's one postive thought, but I'd trade this hide for feathers any day."
P: "True, being a pinguino rocks."
S: "You're right."
They made their way to the zoo. Quickly passing da the habitats Julien came from around a corner with Mariuce and Mort.
J: "Ahh! The wolf! He's back for us, now! Mort distract him da being eaten! te too Maurice!"
P: "He's not going to hurt you!"
S: "And what do te mean 'back for you'?"
Ma: "A lupo just carried off with Kowalski and Rico!"
S: "Oh no!"
Skipper leaped onto their H.Q. and rushed in. It was a diaster. Feathers were scattered all over the floor, and muddy paw prints led out the door. The TV screen was cracked and the tavolo flipped over. da this time Private was off of skipper's back. Skipper's vigorous eyes turned red under the intense anger and hatred he felt.
S: "Micha!"
P: "What are we going to do Skipper?"
S: "You're staying here. I'm going to save our f-family."
P: "We are like a family. Since we are a family that means we stick together. I'm coming with you."
Skipper sighed and smiled a bit at how courageous Private was.
S: "Okay,"
Together they were ready to face Micha as a team.
