The Truth, Lies, and Doris - A Dorski fan fiction: Part 4 - Escape and Return

Shocked was the only word that could describe Kowalski's expression.
(Dr. Blowhole wants to kill Skipper! If I don't agree to his plan, I'll either be devoured da Chromeclaw 2 o be killed da his aragosta minions. If I do agree, I'll be let free from the trap I'm stuck in.... that can be my chance to get out of here.)
Kowalski put on an evil smile. "I agree to the offer Blowhole, Skipper betrayed me and he needs a small lecture on deceiving others. I only need te to unwrap me from this rope and I will begin to help te with your plan."
"Wonderful! Harry! Help the peng-u-in get out of the trap!", Dr. Blowhole ordered.
Harry, the red aragosta standing besides Blowhole, dropped the laser he was holding and rolled his eyes, and with a "Yes master." he started to help Kowalski out from the trap.
Once Kowalski's flippers were freed from the rope, he grabbed Harry and threw him to the wall. Harry hit the concrete bacheca with a thud and was knocked out immediately.
    "What?!", Blowhole exclaimed.
Kowalski cut the rope that held his feet to the ceiling and flipped besides Blowhole, grabbing the laser that Harry had dropped. Before Dr. Blowhole could react, Kowalski had jumped on superiore, in alto of his head and knocked him out with the back end of the laser.
(He should be out for awhile.)
Kowalski spotted the window that had been the only light fonte in the underground room.
(Aha!), Kowalski thought. (A hasty escape and then I can find Skipper.)
Kowalski leaped bacheca to bacheca until he reached the window on the ceiling. He burst through, showering bits of glass onto Blowhole's unconscious body.
The pinguino appeared at the old delfino habitat of Coney Island, now dirty and uninhabited da any living residents.
(Even though Skipper deceived me and my trust in him, I have to protect him, no matter what he does to upset me. And as I remember, Skipper was searching for me here. He must have headed back to HQ da now, bringing the rest of the unsuspecting team with him.)
It was afternoon on Coney Island, the sun setting at a slow pace. Most of the humans have left da now, returning to their warm homes. Kowalski sat there at the bus stop, tapping his foot impatiently as he waited for the successivo bus.
"How long does it take to get a bus around here, it can go up to speeds of 80 mph!"
Kowalski saw to headlights coming down the road and hid behind the nearest bench. The old bus stopped with a creek, and people flooded out of it. The mechanical doors of the bus almost closed on Kowalski as he slipped through and hid behind the driver's seat. Luckily, the bus was empty besides the driver, so Kowalski used the recognizable karate chop to the neck to knockout the driver. He shoved the already snoring driver to the floor, making sure she didn't hit the floor so hard that it would damage her brain. Kowalski used the two boots she was wearing and two sticks he found outside to use the gas and brake petals, and he also used a couple of phone libri to sit on so as to see where he was driving.
Kowalski hit the gas and started the ora long trip back to Central Park Zoo.

    About 40 minuti later....
Kowalski was a nervous wreck, trying to follow the cheap GPS's directions.
"Come on! What do te mean make a U-turn and head to Madison Avenue! I thought te detto go to Park Avenue!"
The GPS beeped for the 25th time,
    "Recalculating."
Kowalski exploded, "AGH! NEVERMIND YOU!", and threw the GPS to the back of the bus.
"Can't even trust the human technology these days!", Kowalski grumbled.
He finally arrived at the zoo, parking the bus crooked and leaving the bus driver out cold on the floor. It was almost night, and the zoo lights were turning off and the visitors had left.
(I'll wait until morning to go to them, I don't want to take time out of poor little Private's sleep.)
So Kowalski waited until morning, hiding in a bush, freezing cold as he eventually managed to fall asleep.

    At noon....
Kowalski arrived at the pinguino habitat, hiding behind a lamp post as he watched Private, Rico, and Skipper do the usual performance. They were missing Kowalski in the routine, so they took out the parts where he had done his little solo moments such as the wiggle-butt dance and replaced it with più of Private's adorable poses. As the performance ended and everyone left the area, Kowalski snuck behind the habitat and waited for the squad to go back into HQ.
He bounded over the railing and waddled to the fishbowl, ready to open it at any moment. He took a deep breath, and opened the lid.
