Should Mewtwo really be a legendary Pokémon?

Mewtwo is just created da scientist and just happened to be one of the most powerful Pokémon in the world, but that doesn't seem to make te 'legendary' to me...

he's a one of a kind pokemon, and he's got mew's genes in him, and mew is a legendary, so he is too. plus, being the most powerful pokemon in the world SHOULD make te legendary. cuz, well, what if....say te were the only human in the world that had the power to make things...idk INVISIBLE o SOMETHING!! that'd make te legendary in news and stuff too.
