The Origin of Pokémon
A Pokémon legend as interpreted da BlastWave
Author’s note: Many people wonder how Pokémon were created in their world. We all know that the creators of the game series made them da drawing them up, but how would it be from the other side? What if there was a little backstory to revealing their true origins? That’s what I wanted to write about. I dedicate this story to those who have made Pokémon a success in it’s 15 years, but especially to Satoshi Tajiri and Ken Sugimori, the creators of this fabulous game series.
Long ago, after Arceus, the original Pokémon fell into a near eternal slumber, it’s creations, the creation trio of Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina, argued over what to do with this new world. Dialga wanted a land where no one would grow old and perish. Palkia wanted an expanding spazio which spanned forever and ever. Giratina wanted a world with itself as ruler. And so a war began between the three. The war stretched out for a long time. Eventually, the war ended with Dialga and Palkia deciding on a world where both time and spazio would work together as a team, but Giratina thought otherwise. It attacked this new world, but was banished da Dialga and Palkia and was sent to create it’s own world which is the Distortion World. Dialga and Palkia then created their first Pokémon which were all the legendaries for the past, present, and future, and they created the Pokémon that exist in all of the regions of the Pokémon world today. That is how Pokémon came into being.
