Twilight la saga Does this bother anyone else?

Does the fact that Edward claims to love Bella even though he changes her after he said "it will be the most selfish thing I do" and he said that in his mind it was risking her soul, bother anyone else? If he really loved her, then how could he agree to do that no matter how much she wanted it?

No it doesn't bother me.He does love her.Remember in New Moon he left to protect her,and when he thought she was dead he wanted to die too and he almost did.He faced almost losing her forever and he couldn't live through that again,so they made a compromise.After she gave birth,her heart stopped and he simply couldn't live without her so he changed her.
