When it comes to video games, we all have many, many, many different opinions… And some of those opinions may just get te castrated and hunted like some filthy animal for sport… what I’m trying to say is that there are some opinions that are not so popolare in the gaming community, and those opinions could lead to some… disagreements within detto community. I don’t see myself as having so much opposite opinions, but the ones that I do have are… pretty opposing compared to what is the usual opinions I see. So, before I pretty much write my suicide note, I would like to give a few rules. These are all my opinions, obviously. And I know, that some of you, if not all of you, will agree with what I say, which will no doubt lead to some agreements in the articoli and be done in a friendly manner and won’t get mad when I put them down… Oh, I hope so. So, with all that being detto and done, let’s kill myself.

#10: I Prefer Smash 4 Over Melee

Oh boy, I’m just starting off strong, aren’t I? Back when the Gamecube was made, Melee was the shit. Everyone talked about how much fun it was to play and how excited they got to mess around in it, even having tournaments that are still going on today. People still say that Melee is the best Smash game out there and nothing else compared. That includes both Brawl and Smash for Wii U and 3DS. And when I was get Smash 4, I found it to be way più fun than Melee. I’m not saying Melee is a bad game. It still has lots of nostalgia that I gladly come back to time and time again and play with friends, but dato the choice, me, and my Friends included, will always go with the più clean and sophisticated Smash 4. Smash 4 has lots più characters and much più content. As a newer game in a new generation, that’s not a fair comparison. What is a fair comparison is some of the broken characters of Melee. If te knew what te were doing in Melee, and da that, I mean if te knew how to cheat, te could dominate the entire place. I was able to finish all of the Smash Runs in Melee just da cheating. In Smash 4, there are no ultimate OP moves that te can spam. te have to use skill and timing in order to get a hit in. Also in Melee, there were duplicate characters. Pichu was just a crappy Pikachu. Young Link was a less powerful Link. And Ganondorf was just a slower Captain Falcon. They aren’t even from the same franchise. With Smash 4, there are no duplicate characters. There are crappy characters, sure, but no duplicates, which I find much better. I think that Smash 4 is much più balanced and più fun to play. Melee is a fun game, but Smash 4 is better.

#9: I’m Not the Biggest Pokemon Fan

Now, before I continue, I am not saying I hate the Pokemon games. I really Amore them. But, if I were to say that they are the ultimate gaming experience o even one of the best RPGs out there, I would heavily disagree. I Amore the world of Pokemon, I like the Pokemon themselves, I like the characters in it, and I even enjoy the Anime and the Film to an extant. But when te look at the games, te start to notice a pattern here. te start to notice a REAL big pattern. The games are mostly the same. They may have some differences and may add new Pokemon to each generation, but regardless, the story missions are the same. Play as a small boy, go on an adventure, take on the seven gyms, get involved with an evil crime organization o possible cult, defeat the Elite Four and then defeat the Champion. Aside from a few twists here and there, the games are just the same. I usually play RPGs for their stories… I mean, that’s kind of the point of RPGs. And Pokemon doesn’t have much great stories, except for a few times. Your character sure as hell isn’t part of the stories other than being the best Pokemon trainer in the region. Also, I never understood the point of releasing two at the same time like Black and White, Diamond and Pearl, and so on. Aren’t they just the same game with a few minor differences? Honestly, I much prefer the story of the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games. Stupid, but fun. Better than just being the best like no one ever was that te can hear a million times from the Anime alone.

#8: I Don’t Like Assassin’s Creed

Okay, if I haven’t pissed anyone off yet, I am sure I will with this one. I’m sorry, but I just could never get into the Assassin’s Creed franchise. I do enjoy the gameplay, the open world, and climbing up the multiple buildings and structures and performing several kills. But I honestly couldn’t get into the story of these games. I never could understand it, and having confusing stories doesn’t make it bad. I liked Metal Gear Solid, and those stories are nearly impossible to understand if te aren’t paying attention to every word in every cutscene. But for some reason, Assassin’s Creed had a story that I just couldn’t get into, and got way too convoluted for me to better understand. I was also never a fan of most of the missions. Either follow a guy o kill a guy o get something for a guy. They seem to follow that pattern so much. The assassination missions and having to sneak around were fun, but other than that, the other missions just felt like they were going nowhere and were just taking up più time of the story than they needed to. I did recently get Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag and after hearing how it’s one of the best Assassin’s Creed games, I may be able to find something better about this one than the other one’s in the franchise. But until then, my opinion still stands. Assassin’s Creed is a good video game franchise, but definitely not my kind of game.

#7: I Prefer Physical Copies of Games Over Downloads.

Alright, this one may seem a bit stupid and kind of a waste of time, but when I buy a game, if there is no other way of getting a physical copy, then I’ll download the game. Games like Skullgirls o Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World aren’t known for having physical copies and are great games, so having to download them is the only way to play them. However, whenever I want to buy a game, I would much rather buy a physical copy of it rather than download it. I know that just sounds childish but hear me out. Sure, downloading games saves spazio and saves time you’d get from having to put the game in, but I am much più fond of actually holding the game in my hand, and taking it out. That’s just how I grew up. I grew up around the end of the 5th generation of gaming and the birth of the sixth gen, the said-to-be best generation of gaming. Buying a game that te like o have heard about at a store o anywhere else is like finding a treasure, and getting to hold the game in your hands is really a satisfying sort of thing. Not to mention I get lots of satisfaction da looking at my growing shelf of games and just seeing it get bigger and bigger. It’s like crack for me. Seeing my shelf grow is just something I like to see. So, yeah, as dumb as it is, I prefer the physical copies of games over downloads… Unless te have to download them… Also, there’s a chance that the company will take the game off download so if te don’t download it before that, you’re just screwed out of it… Ain’t that right, Konami?

#6: I Like Metal Gear Solid 2 and Raiden

Now I’m sure that liking MGS 2 isn’t that bad. Sure, it may be everyone’s least preferito in the series, but I personally enjoyed it enough to be my secondo favorite, right behind Snake Eater… Yes, Sons of Liberty is my secondo preferito Metal Gear Solid game. Out of all of the Metal Gear Solid games that could be almost as good as Snake Eater, it’s not pistole of the Patriots, it’s not Phantom Pain, it’s not Revengeance, and it isn’t even the very first Metal Gear Solid game. No, it’s Sons of Liberty. But what I know is going to make people upset is that I actually enjoy the character of Raiden. I felt that his drive to fight and his reasons for it were very well done and I really enjoyed his growth throughout the story of MGS 2. I liked having to be mentally screwed da Kojima’s brilliant Scrivere and discussing a very deep story on technology and politics. I loved fighting through the large water plant and tracking down the members of the terrorist group there. And yes, I loved the part of Arsenal Gear where Raiden is doing cartwheels naked while the Colonel is speaking to him about insane stuff that makes no sense as the game goes apeshit and starts to make fake game overs and strange dialogue. Metal Gear Solid 2 had a very unique story and even a very powerful message, and it’s good that più people are starting to see it, o at least are starting to like the badass Raiden after Revengeance. Still, not enough for liking the game to be the popolare opinion.

#5: I Hate Five Nights at Freddy’s

I’m not even going to sugarcoat it. I hate this franchise so much. I like that it was trying to do something new, I like some of the creature designs, and I respect Scott Cawthon as a game designer and think that he is a great person, donating the money he made for the game to charity. Good job, Cawthon. That’s pretty cool. But I’m sorry, I just hate the Five Nights at Freddy’s games. I was fine with the first one, and I was fine with the creepy backstory that it had, but the gameplay was just not good. I know that the gameplay isn’t what’s important and the fear is what’s to worry about, but after the third night, there isn’t much to be scared of. Fear only goes so far, and once te keep mostrare the same thing, te don’t get scared of it anymore because you’re used to it. It’s like repeating a joke over and over again. It’s funny at first, but after a while, it doesn’t give te the same effect as when te first heard it. That’s Five Nights at Freddy’s. A joke that was run into the ground. And it was run further into the ground da it’s sequels that were much of the same, only worse. FNAF 3 in particular being the worst one, but I already talked about that game enough, so I won’t do it again. But what I think makes me hate this game, aside from the dull gameplay, dry horror, and lack of variety, is that no matter where te go, people will always talk about this game, and compare it to Silent collina 2 and Resident Evil. Are te kidding me? Those games focused on psychological horror and the different creations of monsters. FNAF is just about murderous robots with kids. There’s no deep hidden truth to it. And don’t even get me started on the fandom…. Oh my god, the fandom. And te thought Nightmare Before Natale had the most merchandise in Hot Topic… I mean, it does, but FNAF isn’t far behind. And no, this isn’t just the fan that ruined it for me. Even if FNAF wasn’t popular, I probably would still hate it.

#4: I Don’t Like Sonic the Hedgehog

Okay, so I have played a few Sonic games that I liked. I like the Genesis games, I like Sonic Adventures 1 and 2, I like Sonic colori and Generations, and I like Sonic and Sega All Stars Racing. That may be a crossover game like Smash, but clearly Sonic’s name is in the title, so it doesn’t matter. But there are WAY più games I dislike about Sonic rather than like. From the slow and dull speed of Sonic Labyrinth to the glitchy mess of Sonic 06 to the mistake of god that is Sonic Boom, I could easily find più games I dislike about Sonic rather than enjoy. Sonic’s personality isn’t much better, just being an obnoxious, hip and “cool” character. Sonic is the video game equivalent of those 90s kids who say that everything in the 90s was good and everything after was bad, which is why he couldn’t make his games più modern and has them feel dated just like the main character on the damn box. But the worst part, to me, is how it tries to stay relevant with people da making so much different changes. It had to create an RPG, than a party game, than a godawful racing game (Sonic R), than trying to be più realistic, which is terrifying, than trying to make Sonic the edgiest edgelord imaginable with games like Shadow the Edgehog and Sonic and the Black Knight, both awful games. And as for Sonic and the Sacred Rings… I’m not sure. I never played it. I know Sonic is a big franchise, but I just can’t stand it. Trying hard to stay relevant, some of the worst line-ups of games, Sonic’s smug face te want to hit with a bat, and the multiple characters that are one dimensional and are just unnecessary and awful… Except Eggman. Anyone voice da Mike Pollock is the best thing ever. It at least has that.

#3: Gamecube is my preferito 6th Generation Console

Of all the consoles that came out at the time, weather it be the powerful Xbox, the slim Playstation, o the Dreamcast that no one really cared about, my preferito has always been the purple lunchbox Gamecube. Sure, there was a lot of third party games around for the Playstation and the Xbox, but the Gamecube had lots of amazing first party games. Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Super Mario Sunshine, Metroid Prime, Kirby Air Ride, Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness, F-Zero GX, Pikmin, stella, star volpe Assault, and of course, Super Smash Bros Melee. The Gamecube always managed to have such a great lineup of games. Not to mention, it was the first game to have some of the best games ever, such as Resident Evil 4 and the Resident Evil Remake. Boy, Resident Evil must have loved the Gamecube as much as I did, and I can’t blame it. I also liked the style it had for it’s games, giving it a much più creative look to it. Also, the hardware is tough. I went through two Xbox’s and I can’t even tell te how many Playstation 2’s I’ve burned through, but the Gamecube is such a tough son of a bitch. I have had the same one for over ten years and it still works, no issues. Nothing. It’s a real shame that the Gamecube didn’t sell as well as the Xbox o Playstation 2, most likely due to smaller discs and lack of online. But….. At least it wasn’t the Dreamcast.

#2: I Don’t Understand the Ocarina of Time Hype

Alright, this is the badland territory. Total red alert. This is where I am bound to get hung from the gallows for my crimes. So, let’s get this over with. First off, I Amore Ocarina of Time. It’s one of the most creative games in the Zelda franchise and manages to be very creative and revolutionary for the time when it was released on the N64. But it is titled the best video game ever? I don’t think so. Looking at the old N64 title, it doesn’t seem to be as good as how the people detto it was… Let me rephrase that. It’s a wonderful game. Still great today, but it is far from the best game ever as it was stated back then. The overworld, while amazing when te head to it the first time, get’s incredibly boring having to run across it, and being trapped with those damn Starchilds was a real pain for me. I know that it was very unique, but after a while of having to slowly run across the field as Young Link, it starts to get old VERY fast. The side quests, which are always a selling point for me, I found to be just dull. It’s either go talk to this guy o go deliver this o bring me that. I just got bored of having to do these miniscule fetch quests that are just a prolonged event in order to get the reward for finishing it at the end, which gives me no satisfaction, really. The bosses were okay, but damn, they were too easy. Sure, they were fun, but once te figure out their pattern, that’s about it. They’re pretty much done once te find out. I Amore Ocarina of Time, but I will never understand how it has earned the titolo of best videogame of all time. Personally, when talking about N64 Zelda games, I will always prefer Majora’s Mask over Ocarina of Time any day.

#1: I Am Not the Biggest fan of the NES (Nintendo Entertainment System)

Yes, I detto it. I think the NES wasn’t the best thing ever made. o at the very least, the biblioteca of games for it wasn’t that great. Yes, it did save the video game market and is one of the main reasons we still have video games today, and yes, it has many great classics on it such as Super Mario Bros. 1-3, Legend of Zelda 1 and 2, Super Metroid, Contra, Kirby, the Mega Man series, Metroid, Final Fantasy, Punch-Out, Excitebike, Castlevania, Ninja Gaiden, Ghost n Goblins, and so much more, but there was so much worse games for the console than there were good ones. They ranged from terrible movie-licensed games like Back to the Future and Dick Tracy, to awful sequels like Double Dragon 3 and Castlevania 2, to bad original games like Metal Gear and Milon’s Secret Castle. Many of these games suffered from major issues, such as being difficult not for challenge, but just to increase gameplay time, Battletoads being the biggest offender. I know that this isn’t the NES’s fault, but there were just so much bad games that it would be hard to find a good game back in the day. I wouldn’t mind the amount of bad games if buying an NES with an assortment of good games was easy. Finding that kind of deal would normally cost around twenty, maybe thirty dollars… Those bundles now cost hundreds of dollars. This is the biggest issue I have with the NES. Well, not the NES itself, but the people involved with it. They sell these things for massive amounts all because it’s rare when that is far from the case. te can’t even buy a good copy of the original Super Mario Bros without putting a large amount of money into it. The NES was less of a problem itself and più housed many different problems. I still cherish the NES and still see it as a revolutionary part for video games, but god, was it a part of some shit. Also, if te are any of the people who bought the NES Classic Edition and is selling it for hundreds of dollars online… Fuck you.

Oh boy, am I excited to talk about today’s game. cavalletta Manufacturing is probably one of my preferito game studios out there. Sure, they don’t make the highest quality games, but their desire to make what they want to make rather than what some publisher wants them to is inspirational, and it’s that desire to create what they want to that has helped allow indie game developers to thrive in the modern age. One of their first games to truly reach a cult status was Killer7. Created as part of the Capcom Five, it was part of five games published and/or developed da Capcom to be exclusives...

Well, we’ve talked about two Anime that I love. So, why don’t we talk about an Anime that I cannot stand. Horror Anime isn’t like horror movies. There are many different kinds of them that are seen in Giappone and they are always so good to watch… most of the time. One instance of them not being that scary (Or that good in general), is a very popolare Anime that we’ll be looking at today. That Anime is Tokyo Ghoul… Already, I can hear people getting angry. After playing the brilliant JRPG that is Chrono Trigger, I am positive that this is my preferito JRPG of all time. The environments are amazing, the story is brilliant, the Musica is catchy, the combat is fun, and the characters are some of the best I’ve ever seen. I can’t hate a single character from this game. Yeah, imagine that, a JRPG with no hateable characters. And to think that having at least one awful character in a JRPG was mandatory. But, the best characters have to be the main party. Each party member has amazing attacks, and even più amazing stories. So, I want to talk about...

#10: Matthew Shepard - Matthew Shepard was a student in highschool, who was a homosexual. However, this lead to him being bullied across the school for being a homosexual. However, two kids, Aaron McKinney and Russell Henderson, took it a step too far. The two boys broke into Matthew’s house, tied him up, and began to brutally...
