Do te believe that te can only be a Harry Potter fan if te have read all of the books?

I think if te are a real fan te should read the books. te can be a fan of the Film but if te are a fan of Harry Potter te read the book because that is the really Harry Potter.
What I get from your commento te are a real HP fan because te are trying to read the libri and maybe even want to read all of them.

To those people who complains about that they can't read for some reasons, there is a reason there is audio books. I have read and "read" all of the libri myself several times (16/7 times, the last one only 6 times). I even learn to read properly from HP but I do listen to the audio libri sometimes because I don't like to read so much anymore like I did before, so today I try to walk so much as possible and in the mean time I listen to the books. English isn't my first language but I listen to them in English because I Amore his voice, I mean he really brings the characters alive. And when I listen to them in English, I improve english at the same time.
I really enjoy that.

te can be a fan at any time, even just watching the movies. However, to be a true, die-hard fan, te have to read the books. But you're already Leggere the books, so if te continue to Amore them and read them, then you're perfectly die-hard :)

Personnally I have read all the libri and I've seen all the Film but I just consider myself just as a fan.
I don't believe of the crap and I repeat clearly myself THE crap other fan o people call "TRUE FAN" it doesn't exist such a thing o person o group of persons.
It's just a damn way to separate us and to make people feel bad just because they only like the libri o only likes the movies.
For me te are A fan because te like what te read o watched o both, that is a fan.
Being a fan is just liking the libri o just one book o one movie. People who say: "True fan blablabla" just wants to give themselves some importance. I don't see the big deal about it. We're all HP fan and we're all equal just da that.

If te ask me, the answer is simple. te can be a fan if te haven't read the books. But te can not fully appreciate the beauty held in Harry Potter. So basically what I'm saying is this: te are a fan. Not a true fan. When you've read all the libri though...that's a different story.

At least te aren't one of those people who watches the Film then reads the first two pages of the first book and say, "I don't like it. It's stupid." Hope te finish them soon!

My Sister and Brother didn't start Leggere the libri until they saw the films. And my Mother, who has seen all the movies, has never once picked up a Harry Potter book, and she calls her self a "Die-hard" fan.

Maybe to some people that would mean you're not a true fan. But who cares what they think? What matters most is what te think...

I stared loving Harry Potter when I saw the HP1 movie! I was so in Amore with it. U don't have to read all 7 libri to become a fan of HP, HP is sooo cool that te can be a fan of it da only watching the HP 1 movie ;) it's possible. And I did'nt read all libri yet,I just read HP 1,2 & 3 and saw all the movies. I agree with @innocenta.

No te don't need to have read all the libri I was 3 when I became a fan of Harry Potter and I couldn't read and so far I have only read Chamber of Secrets and the Prisoner of Azkaban

I don't agree with your mom at all. Being a 'real' fan of anything is subjective. I've seen all the moves, read all the libri -- starting when they first came out --, been to almost all the midnight releases, dressed up as characters, and had themed parties. But I don't have the libri on tape, and hardly have any memorabilia, and some might say that I'm not a 'real fan.'

A real fan is someone who loves the series, regardless of whether they've read all the books, seen all the movies, only got into it because of certain actors o movies, o got into it once it got 'popular.' The way I see it: if someone tells te you're not a real fan because te didn't do what they've done, they're just trying to make themselves look and feel better da making te look small.

I think that's a minimum, as everything started there, in the books. There might have been no movies, yet the libri are still there.

The Film are great and in so many aspects, they convey what the atmosphere of the libri fairly well. Plus the cast is just wonderful. I encourage my students in the English language to watch the Film because they are an highly enjoyable way to improve English, thanks to the impeccable diction of some of the actors.

However, the Film could not tell everything. Many important subplots have been discarded. The libri are far richer and it's a pity not to read them.

Well you're a fan of the Film , but to be a TRUE fan te have to read the libri . I mean that's what everythings based on and I believe te do have to read the libri if te want to call yourself a true potterhead .

No. I'm a very big fan of the movies. But never read the books. Well,except I read a few chapters on book 5. Just sayin.

I don't think te have to read all of the libri to be a true HP fan I've only read the last 2 myself and it did help me understand più about some of the characters better like Severus the Film make him look pretty bad but once te read the libri te really understand why he had to be the way he was

You're a real fan when te believe you're a real fan, not when other believe it.

te certainly can be a real HP fan without Leggere the books, but you're cheating yourself if te don't read them. The Film are great, sure, but they pale in comparison to what JK Rowling wrote. When te watch the movies, you're only getting maybe a quarter of the story, and you're getting someone else's vision of it. Only when te read the libri do te get the whole story, and te can make your own movie in your mind. te have your own vision of the story, and I think that's far più valuable.

And honestly, te don't really know the true depth of the characters if te don't read them. And if te never read the books, then te will never truly understand how brave, how awesome was our Potions Master, o how great was his sacrifice, because the Film do not do Severus Snape justice. Alan Rickman does, have no doubt, but the films just don't.

And if you're a fan of Sirius Black and Remus Lupin, as I am (passionately), you'll never really know them if te don't read the books. Because the Film trivialize them terribly.

If te never read the books, you'll never meet Peeves, and that would just be sad, because he's such a wicked little guy. I Amore him. ;)

I don't think te have to read the libri to be a fan. I have several Friends that like the Film and have never picked up one of the libri in their lives. That being said, I always encourage people to read the books. They have so many awesome moments in them that, unfortunately, never made it to the big screen. It takes longer to read a book than to watch a movie, but the libri are totally worth reading. te can't get a full understanding of the magical world and of Harry's story if te just watch the movies.

Granted, I think you'll like Harry Potter più after you've read all the libri because the Film miss a lot.

Everyone has their opinion. But I think it's a bit silly to asume anyone has the ability to say if someone else is really a true fan o not. That's for te to say.

i personally don't think it matters what te do its più of how te feel about something that makes te a true fan if te read all the libri and watch all the Film but don't have a huge interest in it than your not a true fan but if te read a few libri o watch some Film and absolutly Amore it than i think that makes te a fan. I think its a personal desicion and judgement whether o not your a fan no one else can say that your not a real fan because te do o don't do something that is up to you. If that makes sense

I think that if te read the libri te will understand the movie più but if te just watch the Film then te are still a fellow potter fan because really a potter fan just loves harry potter even if it is just the movies.

No. te don't have to read the libri to be a true HP fan. Either makes te a fan. Just as long as te Amore the story. But te might get a better understanding of the story and get to read somethings that wasn't in the Film if te read the books.
